Embark on an unforgettable journey through Morocco’s breathtaking landscapes, from the bustling streets of Marrakech to the vast, golden sands of the Sahara Desert. Over four days, you’ll experience the country’s rich culture, majestic mountains, historic kasbahs, and serene desert landscapes.

Day 1: Marrakech – Mountains – Kasbahs – Dades Valley.

Our driver will meet you at a designated spot and start your 5-day desert tour from
Marrakesh to Tangier. We travel through the beautiful High Atlas Mountains (passing Tizi N
Tichka, which is 2260 meters high), where we pause to examine different Moroccan Berber
residences. The trip continues to Ait Benhaddou, Morocco's largest Kasbah and a UNESCO
World Heritage site. You also travel to the unique city of Ouarzazate, where we can see the
stunning Kasbah Taourirt and the Atlas Studios. We shall pass through Skoura's palm grove on
our way to the Valley of the Roses and the Valley of Dades. The Dades Valley will be your final
stop.

Dades Valley

The desert Tour starts after breakfast at the stay in Dades Valley. The rock formation that
looks like monkey fingers is where the break will occur. After that, you leave the Dades Valley
and travel in the direction of Todra Gorge.
You can take a walk there and soak in the environment. The trip continues to Erfoud, where
fossils and dates can be found, via Tinjdad. In the afternoon, you will arrive in Merzouga.
Then ride to the tent on your camel. Along the way, you will pause to take photos of the dunes.
You will finally stop to take in the gorgeous setting sun over the Sahara Desert. Dinner will be
provided by the desert camp. Following that, you can spend the night while seeing the sky and
listening to some Moroccan music.

Spend the night at the camp.

The Desert Tour starts early in the morning, and you will get to see the majestic sunrise over
the dazzling dunes in the Sahara Desert of Merzouga. After breakfast at the camp and a
refreshing shower, you return to the town on camelback. The Sahara Trip continues through
hundreds of thousands of Ziz-Palm trees.

You will stop for lunch in Midelt, the “capital of apples” after crossing the High Atlas Mountains.

You will see Ifrane, frequently referred to as
“the Switzerland of Morocco” and the Cedar Forest, Morocco’s largest forest and home to a
wide variety of birds and monkeys, before reaching Fes. You will arrive at Fes at dusk.

Spend the night in the historic quarter.

Your desert tour takes you to explore one of the 4 imperial cities in Morocco. After breakfast
in your riad, you will meet your local guide in Fes, Morocco’s “Spiritual City” to begin your
journey. Then will spend the full morning touring the Medina and its alleyways, seeing most of
its significant historical and cultural landmarks, including the world-famous Al Karaouine
Mosque and University (the oldest), the Madrasa Bouanania, the Tanneries, and the Najjarine
fountain. After that, visit the pottery cooperative for a sightseeing walk. Once you have seen
Fes’s main attractions, the desert tour heads on to Chefchaouen, also commonly known as the
Blue City.

The night at Chefchaouen.

Today is the last day of your 5-day desert tour from Marrakech to Tangier. You’ll have some
free time in the morning to stroll through the narrow pathways and discover the charm of
Chefchaouen, the blue city, on your own. Also, you could visit the Kasbah and the Uta Hamam
square. Chefchaouen was founded in 1471. Berber and Jewish people lived in Chefchaouen

before the Spanish colonisation. In addition to keeping mosquitoes away, people painted their
homes blue. You will head north after lunch in the city. In Tangier, our driver will drop you off at
the airport or your accommodation.

Before You Come to Morocco

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip, here are the key things to know before arriving in Morocco.

  • Most travelers can enter Morocco without a visa for stays of up to 90 days, but you should always check your country’s specific entry requirements. Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months from your arrival date.
  • Morocco’s main international airports are located in Casablanca, Marrakech, Rabat, Tangier, Fes, and Agadir. Booking flights early is recommended, especially during peak travel seasons.
  • Travel insurance is highly recommended and should cover medical care, trip interruptions, and lost luggage. The local currency is the Moroccan Dirham (MAD). While credit cards are accepted in many hotels and major shops, it’s always good to carry some cash for souks, small towns, and local purchases.
  • Morocco’s climate varies from the coast to the desert and mountains, so pack light clothing for daytime and a warmer layer for cooler evenings. Comfortable walking shoes are essential, and modest clothing is appreciated when visiting mosques or rural areas.
  • There are no mandatory vaccines for entry, but basic vaccinations are recommended. Tap water is generally safe in cities, though many visitors prefer bottled water. Morocco is a safe and welcoming country—just follow standard travel precautions.
  • Arabic and Amazigh are the official languages, but French and English are widely spoken in tourist areas. Learning a few simple phrases like Salam or Shukran is always appreciated.
  • Respecting local customs helps enrich your experience. Bargaining is a common part of shopping in markets, so feel free to enjoy the friendly negotiation.
  • For packing, bring your passport, essential documents, light and comfortable clothing, sun protection, a portable charger, and a small first-aid kit.
