Price varies based on group size and accommodation
This 4-Day Desert Tour offers a perfectly balanced and in-depth exploration, transitioning travelers from the intellectual cities of the north (Fes) across the vast Sahara Desert to the vibrant pulse of the south (Marrakech). The extra day spent deep in the desert provides a richer cultural experience than shorter routes.
🌟 Tour Highlights
Scenic Start: The journey begins by passing through the Middle Atlas region, including the alpine town of Ifrane and the Cedar Forest where you can encounter Barbary monkeys.
Immersive Desert Day (Day 2): Unlike a quick pass-through, the second day is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga area. You will experience the local culture by visiting a Gnawa music village (Khamlia), driving off-road to visit a nomadic family, and enjoying a traditional Berber lunch.
Camel Trek and Camp: The quintessential desert experience includes a camel ride across the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset and an overnight stay in a traditional desert camp with Berber music under the starry sky.
Gorges and Valleys: Travel through the dramatic landscapes of the south, including the historic Rissani souk, the towering cliffs of the Todra Gorge, and the unique “Monkey Fingers” rock formations in the Dades Valley.
History and Hollywood: The final day features the UNESCO World Heritage site, Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a stunning fortified village and cinematic hotspot, followed by a pass through Ouarzazate.
Atlas Grand Finale: Conclude by ascending the majestic Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2,260m) in the High Atlas Mountains before arriving in Marrakech.

Before You Come to Morocco
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip, here are the key things to know before arriving in Morocco.
- Most travelers can enter Morocco without a visa for stays of up to 90 days, but you should always check your country’s specific entry requirements. Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months from your arrival date.
- Morocco’s main international airports are located in Casablanca, Marrakech, Rabat, Tangier, Fes, and Agadir. Booking flights early is recommended, especially during peak travel seasons.
- Travel insurance is highly recommended and should cover medical care, trip interruptions, and lost luggage. The local currency is the Moroccan Dirham (MAD). While credit cards are accepted in many hotels and major shops, it’s always good to carry some cash for souks, small towns, and local purchases.
- Morocco’s climate varies from the coast to the desert and mountains, so pack light clothing for daytime and a warmer layer for cooler evenings. Comfortable walking shoes are essential, and modest clothing is appreciated when visiting mosques or rural areas.
- There are no mandatory vaccines for entry, but basic vaccinations are recommended. Tap water is generally safe in cities, though many visitors prefer bottled water. Morocco is a safe and welcoming country—just follow standard travel precautions.
- Arabic and Amazigh are the official languages, but French and English are widely spoken in tourist areas. Learning a few simple phrases like Salam or Shukran is always appreciated.
- Respecting local customs helps enrich your experience. Bargaining is a common part of shopping in markets, so feel free to enjoy the friendly negotiation.
- For packing, bring your passport, essential documents, light and comfortable clothing, sun protection, a portable charger, and a small first-aid kit.
